How it happened
  • Trailing 1-0 nearly early, Anthony DiCicco caused a Stevenson turnover, pushing the Pride into attack mode. John Dunbar received a pass from Paz Gismondi and fired a shot from the right side past the Mustang keeper, evening the score with 10:30 remaining in the first quarter.
  • Three straight from Stevenson made it 4-1 entering the second quarter.
  • The Mustangs got the first two points of the second quarter, building a five goal margin. Paz Gismondi cut the edge to four with just over six minutes remaining in the half.
  • Connor Heisman provided the Pride's third goal on a man-up advantage. Brady Franks followed up quickly, making it 6-4 two minutes before the intermission.
  • The Stangs netted one more prior to the break.
  • After a 4-0 Stevenson run spanning 13 minutes and 44 seconds, Heisman found the back of the cage again with a beautiful behind-the-back shot for the Pride's first score of the third quarter. The Mustangs took an 11-5 lead into the final quarter.
  • Heisman completed the hat-trick, recording his 47th goal of the year to open the fourth quarter. It marked his 10th game this season with three or more goals.
  • Paz Gismondi tallied his second goal and third point of the night at the eight minute mark, narrowing the gap to four. He got his hat-trick six minutes later after a Stevenson score.
  • The Pride kept the pressure following the Gismondi goal but could not overcome the four-goal deficit.
