AUBURNDALE, Fla. – The Widener University baseball team rallied in the final two innings, ending its Florida trip on a high note with a 4-2 victory against Muhlenberg on Friday morning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After Muhlenberg got on the board with a pair of unearned runs in the top of the fourth, Widener got one of the runs back as with two outs, DeBellis doubled, followed by a run-scoring single from D'Alessandro.
- The Pride tied the game in the seventh. With one out, Morrissette tripled, followed by a sac fly from Elfreth, knotting the score at 2-2.
- In the eighth, Nathan Valenta and DeBellis led off with singles in front of a walk by D'Alessandro, loading the bases. A wild pitch scored Valenta and a sac fly by Morrissette plated DeBellis, giving the Blue and Gold a lead it would not relinquish.
- Widener had to work around an error in the ninth that helped put a runner on third with one out, but Dougherty was able to get a fly out and a strikeout to end the game.

The Pride returns north and is back in action on Tuesday, March 12 when it travels to Neumann for a non-conference contest. First pitch from Aston, Pa. is slated for 3:30 p.m.
