WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.Brady Franks and Connor Heisman had two goals each for the Widener University men's lacrosse team on Saturday afternoon, but the Pride dropped a heartbreaker to Lycoming College by a final score of 9-8.

How it happened
  • After Lycoming opened a 1-0 lead nearly three minutes into the first, Widener strung together five straight, holding the Warriors scoreless for the remainder of the half.
  • Lycoming found the back of the cage first in the third quarter.
  • Dunbar and Heisman went back-to-back in just 16 seconds, making it 7-2 in favor of the Pride with a little over 12 remaining in the third.
  • The Warriors got two back, cutting the deficit to three.
  • Gavin Kirkwood beat the Lycoming keeper on a man-up advantage for his sixth of the year.
  • Entering the final quarter trailing by four, Lycoming scored five consecutive goals, the winner coming with just over a minute left in regulation.
