ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Widener University women's lacrosse team used a pair of second half rallied, but came up just short, falling in its MAC Commonwealth opener 14-12 at Lebanon Valley on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Widener opened the game scoring two of the first three goals as Kelley and DiGilio both found the back of the net in the first eight minutes.
- The Dutchmen pulled away, scoring the next seven unanswered before Lynch ended the run. Both teams posted a couple more goals before the half as LVC held a 11-5 lead at intermission.
- Opening the second frame, four of the first five goals went to the Blue and Gold with Kelley netting two, while Bert and Rohrer each posted one as WU clawed back to 12-9.
- After a pair of goals from LVC, Widener had one last push as Kelley scored twice and DiGilio tallied in the final three minutes.
