SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Widener University softball team went toe-to-toe with Swarthmore College on Wednesday afternoon, narrowly dropping both games in the double-header by a combined three runs.

- The Garnet built a five run lead over the first four innings
- The Pride got two back in the fifth
- Camac led off the inning with a double, then moved to third on a Cooper single
- Camac crossed the plate on bunt single from Hope DiMario
- Cooper scored on a Mikaela Lovell single to center field
- Kait Jaworski silenced the Swarthmore bats in the fifth and sixth, keeping Widener within striking distance
- The Pride climbed back in the top of the seventh
- Lovell got it going with a single
- After two consecutive outs, Carli Benozich walked
- Silva singled, scoring Lovell
- Kelly Dodgson cut the deficit to one with an RBI single
- Silva scored on an error, knotting the game at five
- Swat won it in the bottom of the seventh with a sacrifice fly
