CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener University softball team nabbed two dubs against Cabrini College on Wednesday evening, winning game one in a dramatic fashion, scoring five runs in the seventh to send it to extras, then walking it off in the 10th. The Pride took care of business in game two, securing a 7-4 victory and denying a Cavalier comeback effort.

- Malia Calciano and Marissa Camac hit back-to-back homeruns (a career-first for both of them) in the seventh inning of game one, knotting the score at seven.
- Calciano ended the day 4-7 with two RBI, and two runs scored
- Ariel Silva had a 3-7 day at the plate, tallying four RBI and two runs

How it happened in game one
- Widener was held hitless going into the bottom of the fourth inning and trailed 2-0
- An error by the Cabrini right fielder on a Lindsey Cooper fly ball saw Calciano cross the plate first for the Pride
- Cooper was brought home on a single by Hope DiMario
- Solid pitching and fielding forced scoreless softball for the next two innings
- A five-run top of the seventh by the Cavaliers put the Pride in a steep hole
- Widener stepped up the plate (pun intended) and fired back with five runs of its own in the bottom half of the inning
- Gosselin started the rally with a single and Ally McDowell followed with a single of her own
- Carli Benozich advanced the runners with a sacrifice bunt
- Silva doubled to make it 7-4
- Calciano smacked an opposite field homerun to left-center, cutting the deficit to one
- Camac's solo homerun on the very next at bat made it 7-7 and forced extra innings
- Cabrini went up one in the top of the 10th
- Camac scored the game-tying run on a Cabrini error after Hope DiMario attempted a sacrifice bunt. DiMario moved to second on the play, then moved to third on a Lovell groundout
- Gosselin singled, driving in DiMario from third and winning game one
How it happened in game two
- Widener put up three in the bottom of the first, two runs coming off the bat of Silva
- Mikaela Lovell provided the fourth run, bringing home Cooper with single down the left field line
- Gosselin and McDowell drove in runs five, six, and seven
- The Cavaliers struggled to find offense against Jaworski until the fifth inning
- Sydney Powell was brought in to replace Jaworski in the sixth
- Cabrini got three runs back, but Pride halted the comeback attempt for its 11th win of the year
