RADNOR, Pa. – Melanie Bert became the 13th player in Widener women's lacrosse history to score 100 career goals, part of a 20-9 setback for the Pride at Cabrini on Thursday night.
 
BY THE NUMBERS

• Kelly Lynch led the Pride, scoring __ goals and adding four assists to post nine points.
• Melanie Bert tallied twice in the game.
• Amber Bretz, Caroline Kelley also found the back of the net. Bretz also added eight draw controls.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Pride posted the initial tally of the game as just more than four minutes in, Bert recorded her milestone goal, a player up marker, off a feed from Lynch.
• Cabrini responded, using a 10-0 run in the next 12 minutes.
• Battling back, WU scored twice in a 21 second span as Lynch and Bretz each found the back of the net. After a Cavaliers goal, Lynch scored again, pulling the Blue and Gold closer. The senior notched her third goal of the night at the 2:25 mark of the first half as WU trailed 15-5 at the break.
• The two teams played evenly through the second half, cementing the final score.
