Trio of Individual Event Wins Highlight Women's @WidenerSwimming Against Stevens

CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener University women's swimming team saw several strong performances as the Pride got the 2019-20 season underway at home with a 145-116 setback against the Stevens Ducks in a Middle Atlantic Conference meet on Saturday.
 
Angelina Franceschini won the 200 free, touching the wall in 2:01.54. Jill Bujanowski claimed the 100 fly in 1:00.51. Emma Reistle took the top spot in the 100 back, clocking in at 1:03.34.
 
The trio also helped the Blue and Gold open the meet strong as they joined Sammy Grogan for a first place finish in the 200 medley relay, finishing in 1:54.46.
 
Widener returns to action on October 19 when it competes against Mary Washington, York, and Franklin & Marshall at the F&M Quad.
