CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener University women's volleyball team sent seniors
Ashley McAfee and
Liz Kwon off in fine fashion with a 25-13, 25-11, 25-19 MAC Commonwealth victory against the Hood Blazers on Tuesday night.

MATCH NOTES
- Hood got the early jump in the first set and led 13-11. A kill by Claire Kaufmann put Widener on serve. The Pride would not surrender a single tally the rest of the set, ripping off 14 straight points to take the frame.
- In the second set, the Blue and Gold raced to an 11-3 lead and built set point at 24-7. The Blazers battled back to win four straight before Widener got the winning shot on a kill from Hollie Jones.
- Kaufmann led the Pride with eight kills. Jones added five on 11 attempts with no errors.
- Sydney Nichols posted 11 assists.
- McAfee led the team with six digs, upping her career total to 1,467, the fourth highest total in program history.
- Shelby Motz tied a career-best six aces.
