Jared Peters dropped a career-high 24 points, leading the Widener University men's basketball team to its second straight road victory, defeating the Albright Lions 70-62. WU remains in fourth place in the MAC Commonwealth standings.
The Pride jumped out to an early 12-4 advantage thanks to a quick six points from senior guard
Ryan McMahon. A 15-6 run by Albright in the final five minutes of the first half created a three-point margin in favor of the Lions before the intermission.
Albright led by as much as nine at the 16:33 mark.
Jalen Howard knocked down a three-pointer then hit a layup to knot the game at 41 with 13 minutes remaining in regulation. Widener did not face another deficit for the remainder of the night, although Albright fought back to even the score three different times. A 14-8 run by the Blue and Gold during the final three minutes of the game sealed the victory.
