WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. –
Kelly Lynch scored seven goals and had two assists, but the Widener University women's lacrosse team dropped a heartbreaker 18-17 to the Lycoming Warriors in overtime on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Things started slowly for the Pride as Lycoming took a 6-1 lead in the first eight minutes of play.
- Widener battled back, scoring three unanswered as a pair of goals from DiGilio sandwiched a score from Lynch, cutting the lead to 6-4 at the 12:18 mark and forced a Warriors' timeout. Following the reset, Lycoming netted three in a row to go up 9-4.
- Undeterred, WU continued to chip away. Back-to-back goals from Bert were followed by Kelley and Lynch finding the back of the net, cutting the lead to 9-8 with just under two minutes to play in the opening half. A goal right before intermission put Lycoming up by two at halftime.
- After the two teams traded goals to open the second half, Widener ripped off three in a row as markers from Mastronardo, Collela, and Bert gave the Pride its first lead of the game at 13-11.
- Not done, the Blue and Gold extended its lead to 16-13 before a Lycoming rally pushed the Warriors on top 17-16 with 2:23 remaining in the contest.
- Undaunted, the Pride won the subsequent draw control. Working the ball around, the Pride netted the equalizer on Lynch's seventh goal of the contest with 1:02 remaining.
