CHESTER, Pa. – Caroline Kelley and Melanie Bert each recorded a hat trick, but the Widener University women's lacrosse team fell to the Shenandoah Hornets 18-10 on Friday afternoon.
 
BY THE NUMBERS

• In addition to the goals by Kelley and Bert, Kelly Lynch scored twice and had three assists to lead the Pride with five points.
• Emma DiGilio and Ashley Mastronardo each found the back of the net for the Blue and Gold.
• Lynch and Kaylee Horchak each had five ground balls, part of a 25 scoop effort.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Hornets scored the first two goals of the game before Lynch got the Pride on the board 10 minutes into the first half.
• Trailing 5-2, Widener battled back, getting tallies from Lynch and Mastronardo bookending halftime to cut the lead to 5-4.
• Shenandoah started to pull away, scoring six goals in a row, taking a 11-4 advantage before pulling away for the victory.
