READING, Pa. – The Widener University women's soccer team notched its fourth MAC Commonwealth victory on Tuesday night, defeating the Alvernia Golden Wolves 4-1.
Both defenses held strong for 45 minutes, resulting in a scoreless first half. The Pride struck first with a goal in the 51st minute. Alvernia evened the score eight minutes later. The Widener attack was relentless the rest of the match, stringing together three consecutive goals to cement the final score.
