Boxscore LANGHORNE, Pa. - The Widener University men's soccer team outshot Cairn University in the second half, but came up short, dropping the match 3-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
Cairn scored in the 21st minute and carried the one goal advantage into the half. The Widener attack picked up in the second half, firing off 6 shots.
Shea Morgan led the Pride with two.
Noah Jefferies and
Kevin McKenna provided some offense off the bench, contributing a shot each. Widener had six corner kicks but could not capitalize on the set pieces. Two second half goals by Cairn solidified the final score.
Up next, the Pride return to Quick Stadium on Saturday, October 13 for Homecoming. It will face off against #14 Lycoming at 7:30 p.m.
