Liz Kwon led the Widener University women's volleyball team with 22 assist and
Ashley McAfee had 17 digs, but the Pride was upended by Gettysburg, 3-1 on Friday evening.
FIRST SET HIGHLIGHTS:
- Nicole Dorman led Widener with three kills.
- The Pride were ahead early with a four point lead at 8-4, until Gettysburg went on a four point run of their own to tie the set and eventually take the lead.
SECOND SET HIGHLIGHTS
- Dorman led Widener with three kills.
THIRD SET HIGHLIGHTS
- Widener quickly regrouped for the third set and maintained a close set until an error by Sierra Conboy allowed them to pull away with the lead, 15-14.
- The set was tied all the way until the 26th point when an error and a kill from Carly Histing gave the Pride a two point victory.
- Widener had 18 kills and Dorman led with eight.
FOURTH SET HIGHLIGHTS
- The set was evenly matched until Gettysburg went on a ten-point run and never looked back.

Widener is back in action Saturday, Sept. 9 as they take on Dickinson and Keystone in the final day of the Rowan Invitational. Matches are slated for 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
