STEVENSON, Md. (April 8, 2017) – Sophomore
Kristi Rohrer (Seaville, N.J. ) recorded a hat trick as the Widener University women's lacrosse team fell to Stevenson by a 18-8 score at Mustang Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Mustangs took the lead early with a 3-0 run that was later broken up with a goal from Widener's freshman
Melanie Bert (Oceanside, N.Y.). The teams traded goals for the remainder of the half, but the Pride were unable to recover from the earlier deficit and entered half time down by four.
Stevenson carried the momentum into the second half by going on a scoring spree and held Widener to only two more goals.
Mack Ferguson picked up the win between the pipes with ten saves for Stevenson. Senior
Grace Morales (Oceanside, N.Y.) had eight saves in the losing effort.
Widener will return to action on Tuesday, April 11 at 7:00 p.m. when they travel to take on Swarthmore at home.
