CHESTER, Pa. – After a scoreless first half, the Widener University men's soccer team was upended 3-0 by the Alvernia Golden Wolves.on Saturday afternoon from Hirschmann Field at Leslie C. Quick, Jr. Stadium.
 
After an evenly matched first half, the Golden Wolves broke through in the second half with a pair of goals in a 10 minute stretch. Widener continued to pressure and attack including a couple of good chances by Mac Schailey. Alvernia added a goal late to cement the final score.
 
The Pride returns to action as it heads to Reading, Pa. for a MAC Commonwealth match against the Albright Lions on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 7:00 p.m.
