Men's Soccer to Hold Annual Friends of Jaclyn Night on Saturday

CHESTER, Pa. (Sept. 16, 2015) – On Saturday at the men's soccer non-conference match against Gwynedd Mercy, the team will host its annual "Friends of Jaclyn Night".

The Widener men's soccer team began working with the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation in 2011, as they were paired up with a child battling cancer. The foundation matches children and their families battling pediatric brain cancer with college and high school sports teams. The teams give children love, support and friendship as they battle the disease.

Kick-off for the match between the Pride and Griffins is set for 7 p.m.

In addition to raising awareness, donations for the foundation will be accepted at the game. If you cannot make the match, but would still like to donate click here.

The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation is a 501© (3) not for profit organization. The mission of the foundation is to improve the quality of life for children and their families who are battling pediatric brain tumor and other childhood cancers while also raising awareness about this devastating disease.
