CHESTER, Pa. (Aug. 11, 2015) – For the first time since the 2008 season, Widener football is set to host a Friday night game at Leslie C. Quick Stadium.

The Pride will host Middle Atlantic Conference foe Lebanon Valley College on Friday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. The contest was originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26 at 1 p.m. at Quick Stadium.  The date change is due to the visit of Pope Francis to Philadelphia the weekend of Sept 26-27.

Last season, Widener cruised to a 45-3 victory over the then-reigning conference champion Dutchmen in Annville, Pa. thanks to a 30-point second half and four total touchdowns from quarterback Seth Klein (Wernersville, Pa.).

The blue and gold open the 2015 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 5 when they host Rowan for a 1 p.m. kick-off at Quick Stadium.
