Men's Basketball Falls Short in Shoot-Out against Arcadia on Senior Day

Men's basketball fought hard but was unable to come away with the victory as Widener fell to Arcadia in a shoot-out, 76-65 at the Schwartz Center.
 
Greg Lawson (Mount Holly, NJ) recorded a game high 11 rebounds. The senior added eight points, one assist and one block in the loss for the Pride. Lawson shot four-of-nine from the field in his final game in a Widener uniform.
 
Senior Mark Pryzbylkowski (New Egypt, NJ) added nine points, eight assist and four steals. The guard shot four-of-12 from the field and added two rebounds for the Pride.
 
Freshman Sardayah Sambo (Middletown, DE) finished with a team high 16 points. The guard shot eight-of-nine from the field including a monstrous dunk mid-way through the second half. Sambo added two blocks and one rebounds in 33 minutes played.
 
John Landro recorded a game high 17 points for Arcadia (14-11, 10-6 CC). He shot five-of-11 from the field, including five-of-ten from three point range and two-of-two from the free throw line. The Knights shot14-of-23 from three point range for a three-point field goal percentage of 60.9%.
 
Samuel Smith (Wyomissing, PA) added 13 points in the loss for the Pride. He finished with three rebounds, two steals and two assist for Widener. The freshman shot five-of-ten from the field, including three-of-seven from three point range.
 
Widener finishes the season with an overall record of 9-16 and 2-14 in Commonwealth play.  The Pride shot 19-of-33 from the field in the second half for a field goal percentage of 57.6%.
