Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men's Basketball Challenges Stevenson; Byrd Leads All Scorers

Men's basketball challenged a tough Stevenson team, but came up empty handed as Widener fell to the Mustangs, 83-63, at the Schwartz Center.
 
Junior Laron Byrd (Philadelphia, Pa) finished with a game high 19 points. The guard added two rebounds and one assist.
 
Jermaine Kamara (Cork, Ireland) recorded a game high ten rebounds for the Pride. He added three points and one block.  Widener held the advantage on the glass over the Mustangs, 28-25.
 
Erik Fisher led the Mustangs with 19 points. He added five rebounds and one steal. Stevenson (13-5, 6-3 CC) received a 17 point outing from Darius Walker. He added three assist and three steals in the victory for the Mustangs.
 
Widener (9-9, 2-7 CC) recorded 28 points in the paint and 11 second change points.
 
David Nicholson (Odenton, MD) recorded 16 points and two rebounds. The junior shot four-of-seven from the field and five-of-six from the free throw line. Senior Greg Lawson (Mount Holly, NJ) added 12 points and five rebounds for the Pride.
 
The Pride will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Reading, Pa to take on Albright at 8:00 pm.
