Men's Basketball Drops Conference Road Contest to Alvernia

Men's basketball fought hard but was unable to come away with a road victory as Widener fell to Alvernia, 86-65, in Reading, Pa.
 
Mark Pryzbylkowski (New Egypt, NJ) recorded a team high 13 points. He added two rebounds one block and one steal for the Pride. The senior shot five-of-ten from the field and three-of-six from three point range.
 
Senior Greg Lawson (Mount Holly, NJ) added a team high nine rebounds and 11 points. Six of the nine boards came on the offensive glass for the forward. He shot five-of-ten from the field.
 
Alvernia (8-6, 3-3 CC) was led by Mike Miller with a game high 24 points. He added five assist, two rebounds and on steal. Charles Cooper added 17 points, and Alex Shippen added 15 for the Crusaders.
 
Widener (9-7, 2-5 CC) received 30 points from the bench and 39.7% from the field.
 
The Pride will be back in action next on Wednesday when they travel to Glenside, Pa to take on Commonwealth foe Arcadia at 8:00 pm.
