Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Rolls to 3-0 Victory at Rutgers-Newark

Senior Jaclyn Miller (Media, PA) scored the first goals of her collegiate career to help Widener to its third victory in the last four games, 3-0 at Rutgers-Newark.

Miller's first collegiate goal came just 52 seconds into the match.  Freshman Eva Reyes (Cranbury, NJ) launched a crossing pass from the left side that Miller got control of and put away to give Widener a 1-0 lead.

The score was doubled in the 25th minute thanks again to Miller.  She was able to corral a loose ball from 12 yards and bury one from the left side.

Senior Gina Scotto (Hatfield, PA) then got into the act with her first career goal, one-timing a shot from the left side in the 77th minute to give Widener a 3-0 cushion.

Junior Olivia Pfautz (Ephrata, PA) made 10 saves and Miller had two shots for the Pride (3-3).

Veronika Tueros had one save and Sarah Cunha attempted four shots for the Scarlet Raiders (3-2-1).

Widener closes its three-game road trip Wednesday at Delaware Valley, beginning at 7:00 pm.
