Men's Basketball Falls to Misericordia in Tip-Off for Autism Awareness Final

Widener fought hard in a back-and-forth game but fell to Misericordia in the Tip-Off for Autism Awareness championship, 62-53, held at Schwartz Center.

Widener (0-2) was led by guard Mark Pryzbylkowski (New Egypt, NJ) with 12 points. Pryzbylkowski shot 5-of-8 from the field and 2-of-4 from 3-point range.  The senior added two rebounds, two block and three steals.
 
Junior David Nicholson (Odenton, MD) added eight points for the Pride. He shot 4-for-5 from the free throw line and recorded five rebounds.
 
Nicholson was named to the Tip-Off for Autism Awareness All-Tournament team. He finished the tournament with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Nicholson shot 6-for-7 from the charity line in two games.
 
Senior Greg Lawson (Mount Holly, NJ) recorded a team-high 13 rebounds. The forward added nine points and two blocks in 26 minutes.
 
Junior Jermaine Kamara (Cork, Ireland) went 4-for-4 from the free throw line to go with nine rebounds and one block.
 
The Pride held a 44-30 advantage on the glass over the Cougars (2-0).
 
Widener will be back on the court on Wednesday when it hosts Immaculata at 8:00 pm at Schwartz Center.
