Women's Soccer Falls Short Against Lycoming in Season Finale

Widener came up short in the Commonwealth Conference finale, 2-0 at Lycoming in Williamsport, Pa.
 
Lycoming (4-15, 1-7 CC) opened the scoring late in the first half with a goal from Bree Nishibun. Jordan Lazarich added a goal in the 54th minute to give the Warriors a two-goal advantage.

Junior Nicole Foschini (Laurel Springs, NJ) led the Pride with five shots and senior Jenna Pedrick (Sickelerville, NJ) added two shots. 

Senior Gina Scotto (Hatfield, Pa) and freshman Lauren Wilson (National Park, NJ) each added  a shot for the Pride.
 
Olivia Pfautz (Ephrata, Pa) recorded four saves in 90 minutes for Widener (5-9-3, 2-5-1 CC). The junior finished with 99 saves in 1,559 minutes played over 17 games.
 
Warriors' goalkeeper Joelle Winey recorded five saves on nine shots.
 
Widener finished in sixth place just two points shy of the last Commonwealth Conference Tournament spot.
