Field Hockey Falls to #14 Lebanon Valley

Widener fought hard against one of the country's best as they fell to #14 Lebanon Valley, 4-1 at Edith R. Dixon Field.
 
The Pride tied the game midway through the first half on Dana Adamson's (Warrington, PA) first collegiate goal. The sophomore scored in the 11th minute on a loose ball in front of the net.
 
Senior Maggie Karmereis (Wilmington, DE) recorded eight saves in 65 minutes of play.
 
Lebanon Valley (13-1, 4-0) opened the scoring the fifth minute with a goal from Maddie Fox. Morgan Vasiliu scored in the 24th minute to give the Dutchmen a one goal advantage.
 
Lauren Brumbach recorded two penalty stroke goals for the Dutchmen in the second half.
 
Widener (4-9, 1-3) will be back on the field for a mid-week Commonwealth clash with Arcadia on Wednesday at 4:00 pm in Glenside, Pa.
