Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Dealt 3-0 Loss by Stevenson

Widener hung tough with a very strong side in Stevenson, but allowed three second-half goals in a 3-0 Commonwealth Conference loss at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.

The Pride (4-6-2, 1-2 CC) battled hard in the opening half and kept the match scoreless at intermission.  Junior Olivia Pfautz (Ephrata, PA), who has enjoyed a solid campaign in her first year as the primary goalkeeper, amassed six saves in that time.

But the Mustangs (5-5-3, 3-0) cracked the scoreboard 2:47 into the second half when Allie Ondrejcak fired one home from 25 yards to open the scoring.  Stevenson made it 2-0 in the 55th minute when Ondrejcak lofted a free kick which Jordan Porretto headed home.

Kellen Wittman closed the scoring in the 72nd minute with her fifth goal of the season, converting a cross from Isabella Ekeze.

Pfautz made 10 saves for her fourth game this season with at least that total.  Junior Nicole Foschini (Laurel Springs, NJ) and freshman Kelliann Burns (Clarksboro, NJ) each had a shot for the Pride.

Meaghan Williams had four of Stevenson's 27 shots.

Widener is back on the pitch Wednesday, when it hosts Arcadia at 7:00 pm.
