Football to Take Part in Coach to Cure MD on Saturday

Widener's football team is proud to take part in Coach to Cure MD during its home game this Saturday against Lycoming.

Coach to Cure MD is a nationwide project designed to build awareness about Muscular Dystrophy and raise money to support researchers trying to find a treatment and cure. The day is part of a corporation between the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD), the largest non-profit organization in the United States focused entirely on Muscular Dystrophy.

Widener coach Bobby Acosta and his staff will show his support for the cause by wearing a Coach to Cure MD patch during the game, which begins at 1:00 pm.

To donate money on-line, click www.CoachToCureMD.org. To contribute by cell phone, text "CURE" to 90999 to donate $5 on your next phone bill.
