Volleyball Makes it Four Straight Wins With Two Triumphs in MAC Crossover

Widener ran its winning streak to four with victories of 3-1 (25-23, 20-25, 25-23, 25-15) over Misericordia and 3-0 (26-24, 25-20, 25-18) at Wilkes in the Middle Atlantic Conference Crossover in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Against Misericordia, freshman Brooke Ruditys (Upper Chichester, PA) had 16 kills and just three errors and junior Jessica Dembeck (Philadelphia, PA) amassed 14 kills over 26 errorless swings. Junior Kaitlin Schnalzer (Bethlehem, PA) has eight kills and senior Veronica Vizzard (Havertown, PA) totaled seven.

Freshman Sabrina Barbieri (Glen Mills, PA) had 49 assists, just seven off the school record, and junior Victoria Miller (West Chester, PA) got 25 digs for the Pride (13-9).

Versus Wilkes, Schnalzer posted 10 kills over 22 errorless attacks, Ruditys totaled 10 kills and 10 digs with Dembeck adding eight kills. Barbieri totaled 32 assists and Miller contributed 17 digs.

Widener returns to Commonwealth Conference play Tuesday at Lycoming, starting at 7:00 pm in Williamsport, PA.
