(box score)

Junior goalkeeper Maggie Karmeris (Wilmington, DE) made nine saves, but Widener fell to Lebanon Valley 2-1 in Commonwealth Conference action in Annville, PA.

Widener (4-10, 0-5 CC) held Lebanon Valley to no goals in the first half, and in the second half the Pride tied the Dutchmen with seven shots and managed five corners to Lebanon Valley's four.

The scoring began in the 39th miunte when Lebanon Valley's Lauren Brumbach received the ball off of a penalty corner. Brumbach passed the ball to Kristen Garman, who passed it right back to Brumbach on the give-and-go. Brumbach took the shot from the left side and placed it in the net to give the Flying Dutchmen the 1-0 lead.

Widener answered back in the 42nd minute when sophomore Meghan Garvey (Avondale, PA) centered the ball into the Dutchmen circle. Senior Hannah Robinson (Clarksville, MD) found the ball and fired a shot from five yards out that flew past the right foot of goalie Chloe Baro. The goal marks Robinson's second of the season and the third assist for Garvey.

Six minutes later, the go-ahead goal was scored by Lebanon Valley's Lyndee Sheaffer off a centering pass from Megan Harris. With the win, Lebanon Valley remains in first place in the conference standings.

Robinson led the Pride with three shots, followed by sophomore Ashley Aires (Bayville, NJ) with two. Defenders, senior Hannah Dinsmore (Wayne, PA) and freshman Dana Adamson (Warrington, PA), each managed a defensive save to their credit.

Widener will play its final home game of the season on Saturday at noon. The game will take place against Elizabethtown as part of Homecoming weekend.
