Volleyball Drops Both at Haverford Invitational

(vs. Swarthmore) / (vs. Susquehanna)

Widener played tough in a 3-0 loss (20-25, 17-25, 26-28) to Swarthmore before a 3-1 setback (25-19, 23-25, 16-25, 19-25) to Susquehanna at the Haverford Invitational.

Against Swarthmore, sophomore Kaitlin Schnalzer (Bethlehem, PA) had 12 kills with senior Angela DiMaria (Warrington, PA) adding 11. Senior Meghan Spence (Havertown, PA) totaled 31 digs and junior Maggie Greenberg (Meadowbrook, PA) dished 35 assists.

Versus Susquehanna, Schnalzer posted 12 kills and 15 digs with DiMaria adding 11 and 17 for the Pride (0-4). Spence notched 23 digs, Greenberg amassed 28 assists and junior Veronica Vizzard (Havertown, PA) pounded eight kills.

Widener on Tuesday visits Ursinus for a 7:00 pm contest in Collegeville, PA.
