Volleyball Rallies For A 3-2 Victory Against Lebanon Valley

Widener rallied to win the last nine points in the final set against Lebanon Valley tonight to take home a 3-2 (25-23, 15-25, 22-25, 25-17, 15-3) Commonwealth Conference win.
 
After winning the fourth set to tie the match, Widener (9-8, 2-1 CC) secured a 6-3 lead before taking off. Angela DiMaria (Warrington, PA) totaled 15 kills and nine digs for the match with Shauna Phillips (Dallas, PA) getting nine and three. Kaitlin Schnalzer (Bethlehem, PA) notched seven kills with just two errors in 35 attempts and also had 16 digs. Veronica Vizzard (Havertown, PA) assisted with five blocks and had one solo block to go with eight kills.
 
Setter Maggie Greenberg (Meadowbrook, PA) amassed 34 assists, 10 digs and five kills as the Pride won their fifth straight. Senior libero Meghan Spence (Havertown, PA) picked up 28 digs and four assists.
 
For Lebanon Valley (7-9, 1-3 CC), setter Kacey Musselman amassed 41 assists, six aces and 17 digs. Kellsie Groff totaled 16 kills.
 
The Pride travel to Bethlehem, PA on Friday to take on Moravian, beginning at 7:00 pm.
