Volleyball Falls Twice On Day One Of Haverford Invitational

(vs. Juniata) / (at Haverford)

The Pride lost three sets to both No. 10 Juniata (20-25, 18-25, 13-25) and Haverford (9-25, 13-25, 14-25) on day one of the Haverford Invitational.
 
Between the two matches, sophomore hitter Kaitlin Schnalzer (Bethlehem, PA) led Widener (0-2) with 13 kills. She also tallied 19 digs, as well as two block assists against Haverford (2-0). Senior captain Angela DiMaria (Warrington, PA) had two kills and two digs against Juniata and added six of each against Haverford.
 
Junior setter Maggie Greenberg (Meadowbrook, PA) totaled 27 assists and 11 digs between the two matches. Senior libero Meghan Spence (Havertown, PA) gathered 23 digs.
 
Sunday is day two of the Haverford Invitational and the Pride take on Swarthmore at 10 am and Susquehanna at noon.
