Women’s Basketball Falls, 69-62, at No. 7 Lebanon Valley

(box score)

Junior Jennifer Egee (Ridley Park, PA) continued her impressive play, but her team let a 12-point lead evaporate in a 69-62 Commonwealth Conference loss at seventh-ranked Lebanon Valley in Annville, PA.

Egee closed with 20 points, six rebounds, six 3-pointers and five steals.  It was her first game in Annville since scoring a then-career-high 22 points in last year's conference final.

Egee now is averaging 18.0 points per game this season and 22.0 points over her last two contests for the Pride (4-1, 1-1 CC), who held an eight-point cushion with 10 minutes left.

Junior Joanna Persiano (Absecon, NJ) netted 11 points for the Pride, who were held to 32 percent shooting (21-of-65) overall and 20 percent 6-of-30) in the second half.

Tierney Hiltz scored 23 points, Renee Fritz netted 13 and Kiely Chaklos added 10 for the Dutchmen (5-1, 2-1).

Widener on Monday visits Swarthmore for a 7:00 pm contest.
