Women's Soccer Loses 3-1 To Arcadia

Widener was looking to come home with a win, but took a 3-1 loss at Arcadia in tonight's Commonwealth Conference game in Glenside, PA.

Arcadia's Anastasia Stratton scored the first goal of the game just nine minutes in, which wound up being the only goal in the first half.

Five minutes into the second half, sophomore Nicole Foschini (Laurel Springs, NJ) netted her first goal of the season to tie the score and put the Pride (4-5-1, 1-1 CC) in the game. Not long after, Arcadia (7-3-2, 1-1) scored another goal in the 55th minute, followed by a third in the 64th minute.

Jenna Pedrick (Sicklerville, NJ) took three shots -- all on goal -- and Kelly Buckley (Villanova, PA) took two. Senior goalkeeper Vanessa Hejnas (Delran, NJ) spent the full 90 minutes between the posts and made nine saves.

Widener hosts Lycoming on Saturday for its Homecoming game, beginning at 5:30 pm, followed by the men's game at approximately 7:30 pm.
