Men's Soccer Makes It Two Straight With 2-0 Triumph Over Philadelphia Biblical

Junior DJ DiPaola (Havertown, PA) and freshman Nic Salvemini (Bayville, NJ) each scored for Widener in a 2-0 victory over Philadelphia Biblical at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.
 
DiPaola gave Widener a 1-0 lead in the 32nd minute.  He dribbled the ball into the box and knocked one from 10 yards that went inside the left post for his first goal of the season.
 
Salvemini doubled the Pride's cushion in the 52nd minute on a text-book corner kick.  Senior Dan Lorenzet (Forest Hill, MD) lofted one from the right side that Salvemini headed home for his first collegiate goal.
 
Sophomore Dan Price (Norristown, PA) made it stand with three saves for the Pride (2-1).  DiPaola and senior Gareth Cooper (Royersford, PA) had four shots apiece for Widener, which ended with a 24-7 edge.
 
Justin Hays took three shots and Dave Shaffer had five saves for the Crimson Eagles (1-2).
 
Widener on Saturday visits Rosemont for a 3:00 pm start.
