Volleyball Rolls to 3-0 Triumph at Albright

Widener took control early and was on its way to a 3-0 Commonwealth Conference victory (25-16, 25-14, 27-25) over Albright in Reading, PA.

The Pride (9-6, 2-1 CC) in the first set had 11 kills and just five errors versus nine and 10 for the Lady Lions (4-11, 1-2). Widener in the second set amassed a .219 hitting percentage against just a .023 mark for Albright.

Senior Nicole Merton (Media, PA) and freshman Kaitlyn Schnalzer (Allentown, PA) had 10 kills apiece for Widener. Senior Jamie Ballew (Media, PA) notched 26 assists and freshman Victoria Miller (West Chester, PA) had 14 digs.

Widener on Friday visits Dallas, PA for the Middle Atlantic Conference Crossover. The squad plays DeSales at 7:00 pm and Misericordia at 9:00 pm.
