Women’s Basketball Takes Home 70-47 Victory Over Wesley

In day two of the Starter Pub's Tip-Off Tournament in Center Valley, PA, Widener took home a 70-47 victory against Wesley.

Kate Dellinger (Wrightsville, PA) led the Pride (1-2) with 23 points and 12 rebounds, eight of which were on defense. Dellinger also amassed seven steals, four assists and one blocked shot to be named to the all-tournament team. Vanessa Hejnas (Delran, NJ) was second on the team with 11 total points. She also went three-for-four in free throws and came up with five rebounds.

As a team, Widener had seven more steals and rebounds than Wesley (0-3), and ended the game with higher shooting percentages in field goals, three pointers, and free throws.

The Pride comes back to play at home Tuesday against Neumann, beginning at 6:00 pm.
