Volleyball Wins Fifth Straight, 3-0 Over Rowan

Widener ran its winning streak to a season-high five matches with a convincing 3-0 triumph (25-18, 25-11, 25-10) over Rowan in Glassboro, NJ.

Senior Nicole Merton (Media, PA) pounded 11 kills with no errors over 18 attacks for a solid .611 hitting percentage. Senior Jamie Ballew (Media, PA) notched 30 assists, Meghan Spence (Haverford, PA) had 20 digs and fellow junior Angela DiMaria (Warrington, PA) contributed 13.

Widener (13-6) took control in the second set with a .444 hitting percentage, getting 14 kills to just two errors. Rowan (9-7) had just a .057 percentage in the set with five errors.

Widener on Saturday travels to Center Valley, PA for a tri-match against DeSales at 10:00 am and Penn State Altoona at noon.
