Men's Soccer Plays to 0-0 Draw With Haverford

Widener and Haverford played to a 0-0 draw at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.
 
The best chance in the match by either team came in the 109th minute from Widener (3-6-2).  Senior Dan Lorenzet (Forest Hill, MD) fired a pass from the right inside the six to sophomore Matt Parrotta (Torrington, CT), who had his shot stoned on a great save by goalkeeper Nick Kahn.
 
Sophomore Dan Price (Norristown, PA) made five saves and freshman Ryan Sharp (Harpers Ferry, WV) took two shots for Widener.
 
Kahn ended with two saves and David Robinson notched four shots for the Fords (3-6-1).
 
Widener on Friday plays Lycoming at PPL Park as part of a doubleheader with the women's team.  The women's match starts at 6:00 pm and the men begin after 8:00 pm.  It is the second straight year both of Widener's teams will play at the home of the Philadelphia Union.
