Women’s Soccer Plays to 0-0 Draw With Arcadia

Widener and Arcadia engaged in a well-played Commonwealth Conference match that ended in a 0-0 draw at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.
 
Widener (7-6-2, 2-3-1 CC) had a great chance to score in the 56th minute when senior Brittany Harvis (Delran, NJ) had a shot in close that was stoned by goalkeeper Jackie Law.  Arcadia (9-4-3, 2-2-2) had its opportunity for victory in the first minute of overtime when Alex Davis had a great shot that struck the left post.
 
Davis had eight shots for Arcadia, which closed with a 14-8 advantage.  Law closed with four saves.
 
Harvis had two shots on cage and junior Vanessa Hejnas (Delran, NJ) came up with six saves for the Pride.
 
Widener moves into a fifth-place tie with Elizabethtown (2-3-1) and Alvernia (2-3-1) at seven points.  Arcadia bumps up to a third-place tie with Albright (2-2-2) at eight points.
 
Widener and Albright close the regular season Saturday in Reading, PA, beginning at 5:30 pm.
