Volleyball Impressive in 3-1 Victory at Lycoming

Widener made it victories in seven of its last eight matches with a 3-1 Commonwealth Conference win (25-14, 17-25, 25-15, 25-20 over Lycoming in Williamsport, PA.
 
Nicole Merton (Media, PA) notched 12 kills, fellow senior Alectra Edison (Lancaster, CA) posted 10 and senior Jamie Ballew (Media, PA) had 46 assists.  Junior Meghan Spence (Havertown, PA) posted 25 digs, junior Angela DiMaria (Warrington, PA) had 23 and freshman Kaitlyn Schnalzer (Bethlehem, PA) added 10.
 
Widener (15-7, 4-1 CC) remains tied with Lebanon Valley for second place in the league.  Though not officially clinched, the Pride put themselves in a great spot to return to the four-team conference tournament a fifth straight year.
 
Widener this weekend competes at the Posada Royale Fall Classic in Thousand Oaks, CA.
