Volleyball Cruises to 3-0 Win Over Lycoming

Widener extended its winning streak to four with a 3-0 Commonwealth Conference victory (25-18, 25-22, 25-16) over Lycoming at Schwartz Center.

Junior Jamie Ballew (Media, PA) dished 26 assists and posted a .333 hitting percentage for the Pride (12-8, 2-1 CC). Sophomore Shauna Phillips (Dallas, PA) closed with nine kills, and sophomore Angela DiMaria (Warrington, PA) added eight. Senior Erin Gravelle (Media, PA) and sophomore Meghan Spence (Havertown, PA) each finished with 15 kills, and sophomore Jennifer Mastantoni (Horsham, PA) chipped in 10.

Widener, which has won nine of its last 11 matches, has also won seven straight sets.

Emily Abel ended with 20 digs for the Warriors (6-8, 0-3), and Megan Schulze added 13. Tanya DeWalt recorded eight kills and Katelyn McKillop dished nine assists.

Widener on Saturday travels to Grantham, PA to face FDU-Florham at 10:00 am and Wilkes at 1:00 pm in the MAC Crossover.
