Volleyball Dealt 3-1 Defeat at Moravian

Widener took the first set, but could not manage to take another one and suffered a 3-1 loss (25-19, 15-25, 13-25, 22-25) to Moravian in its regular season finale in Bethlehem, PA.
 
The Pride finished the first set with a .306 hitting percentage.  After dropping the next two, Widener seemed poised to force a fifth game by holding a 15-10 lead in the fourth set, but Moravian rallied to take the set and win the match.
 
Junior Jamie Ballew (Media, PA) recorded her fifth double-double in the last six matches, finishing with 33 assists and 14 digs for the Pride (21-12). Sophomore Meghan Spence (Havertown, PA) totaled 34 digs, senior Erin Gravelle (Media, PA) chipped in 16 and sophomore Angela DiMaria (Warrington, PA) added 11. Junior Nicole Merton (Media, PA) recorded nine kills.
 
Christine Reeser closed with 12 kills and a .423 hitting percentage for the Greyhounds (19-10). Christine Poole dished 38 assists and Jesse Krasley notched 23 digs.
 
Widener on Wednesday travels to Elizabethtown for a Commonwealth Conference tournament semifinal match, beginning at 7:00 pm.
