Volleyball Takes Both At Its Home Tri-Match

(vs. Neumann) / (vs. Misericordia)

Widener opened its tri-match with a 3-1 victory (25-15, 25-15, 23-25, 25-22) over Neumann before a 3-1 triumph (17-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-17) over Misericordia at Schwartz Center.

Against Neumann, Meghan Spence (Havertown, PA) had 26 digs, fellow sophomore Angela DiMaria (Warrington, PA) notched 13 and freshman Stephanie Schutt (Tucson, AZ) added 11. Jamie Ballew (Media, PA) dished 29 assists and fellow junior Nicole Merton (Media, PA) had 10 kills.

Versus Misericordia, Ballew went on a tear with 38 assists and 20 digs for Widener (19-11). DiMaria had 14 kills and 11 digs, Spence recorded 33 digs and Schutt contributed 13.

Widener on Tuesday hosts Scranton in its final regular-season home match of the year. Match time is 7:00 pm.
