Widener's department of athletics invites everyone to take part in the "Royal Rally" during its basketball doubleheader tonight against Alvernia.

The first 900 fans in attendance receive a free Widener "Royal Rally" t-shirt.  The night begins with the women's contest at 6:00 pm, followed by the men's game at 8:00 pm.

Widener's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will raffle off prizes and give fans a chance to compete in a halftime free throw contest in each game.  The lucky fans will have the opportunity to win an iPod.

The SAAC also will donate proceeds from the concession stands to the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania.  This also helps to benefit SAAC's involvement in "Freezin for a Reason," the Special Olympics Polar Plunge on January 30.

Widener's Student Life Office also will give a $100 prize to the student organization that has the highest percentage of members in attendance.  The student organization must be registered through the Student Life Office and group members must sign in at the registration table in the Wellness Center.
