Widener posted a 3-1 victory (25-20, 25-23, 21-25, 25-20) over Swarthmore and also notched a 3-0 triumph (25-21, 25-22, 25-18) over Neumann in Aston, PA.
In the match against Swarthmore, sophomore Jamie Ballew (Media, PA) recorded 41 assists and six digs, freshman Angela DiMaria (Warrington, PA) posted nine digs and 15 kills, and sophomore Nicole Merton (Media, PA) notched nine kills. Freshmen Meghan Spence (Havertown, PA) and Chelsea Hoeffler (Cranford, NJ) each added 18 digs.
The victory gave Widener a 2-1 lead over Swarthmore in the "320 Challenge."
Against Neumann, Ballew finished with 33 assists, Spence recorded 19 digs and DiMaria recorded 11 kills. Senior Danielle Wetling (Upper Darby, PA) also added 10 kills for the Pride (9-5).
Widener hosts Lebanon Valley on Tuesday at 7:00 pm for a Commonwealth Conference match.
