Widener faced a formidable foe in ninth-ranked Swarthmore and was dealt a 4-0 road loss.

David Sterngold scored in the 21st minute for the Garnet (5-0) and Fabian Castro tallied in the 33rd minute for a 2-0 lead.  Castro converted a penalty kick in the 52nd minute and Morgan Langley scored 45 seconds later.

Senior Hamed Correa (Cali, Colombia) made six saves and Kyle Brucker (Perkasie, PA) attempted two shots for the Pride (1-4-1).

Zachary Weimar made one save in just under 81 minutes for Swarthmore, which evened the inaugural “320 Challenge” between the schools at 1-1.
