Senior Danielle Wetling (Upper Darby, PA) pounded 15 kills and sophomore Jamie Ballew (Media, PA) had 37 assists for Widener in a 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-20) Commonwealth Conference victory over Arcadia at Schwartz Center.
Wetling had an impressive .407 hitting percentage to go with only four errors over 27 attacks. Ballew, the reigning conference Player of the Week, again played solidly in controlling the offense.
Freshman Meghan Spence (Havertown, PA) had 15 digs and senior Devan Green (Monroe Center, IL) recorded eight kills for the Pride (21-14, 5-2 CC).
Natasha Wetten closed with 10 kills and 10 digs with Jessyca Stoyler adding 18 assists for the Knights (13-11, 2-5). Christina DiMichele posted 14 digs.
Widener will be the number four seed for the Commonwealth Conference Tournament and will visit top-seeded Lebanon Valley in the semifinals. The match on November 4 in Annville, PA will take place at a time to be determined.
