Senior Barbara Fleming (Philadelphia, PA) scored 16 points, but it was not enough for Widener in a 67-48 loss to Brandeis at the latter's tip-off tournament in Waltham, MA.

Brandeis (2-0) took control by opening a 30-16 halftime lead, shooting 41 percent (11-of-27) from the field and holding Widener to just 21 percent (5-of-24).

Fleming shot 5-of-8 from the field and matched her career high with four 3-pointers.  Rayne Reber (Pottstown, PA) scored 10 points and fellow junior Becky Tyler (Wynnewood, PA) grabbed six rebounds for the Pride (1-1), who just 31 percent (16-of-52) overall and 7-of-26 from 3-point range.

Lauren Orlando netted 15 points with Jessica Chapin adding 13 and eight rebounds for the Judges, who shot 41 percent (23-of-56) overall.

Widener on Sunday faces Western Connecticut State in the consolation game at 1:00 pm.
